At this year’s ASCRS Symposium & Congress the ifa team presented new software and documentation systems, such as the organization and documentation system for Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC), which is already being deployed successfully in 2 US reference centers in New Jersey and Colorado.

Shortly after publishing the start of the great Health IT project at the Dean McGee Eye Institute (DMEI)/University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City, ifa’s US team counted many visitors at its ASCRS booth. From the fourth quarter of 2012, 35 ophthalmologists and approx. 320 employees at DMEI will work with the ifa software in a fully integrated way.

In Chicago both visitors from the host country and prospects and users from Latin America, Europe, Asia and Arabic countries consulted the 22 specialists at the ifa booth.

Centro Oftamologico Metropolitano, a leading ophthalmology practice in Puerto Rico and an ifa EMR user for nearly a year, has begun receiving its first U.S. stimulus incentive payments. We are pleased to announce that seven of Centro's doctors received payments of $18,000, for a total of $126,000 in incentive payments so far.
