AAO Meeting in New Orleans: ifa team reports about high user satisfaction
Health IT was a “hot” topic at the annual congress of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (www.aao.org). In the US all physicians are facing a paradigm shift regarding documentation and billing. The new requirements include the transition process from ICD-9 to ICD-10.
The American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) travels south again and invites all eye care professionals to the “Big Easy” (the famous name for New Orleans). Beside new medical innovations Health Information Technology (HIT) plays an important role this year.
The ifa team has successfully passed the IHE Connectathons test in Chicago. IHE stands for „Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise“ and represents the most important standardization organizations for Health IT in the world. As a longstanding member of the IHE Planning Committee , ifa group is involved intensively in the advancement of standards in ophthalmology, such as HL7 and DICOM.
Meet the ifa team at the ESCRS Congress in Amsterdam
The ESCRS Congress has become the most important ophthalmology meeting in Europe. This year cataract and refractive surgeons meet in Amsterdam from October 5.–9. 2013. The main topics are new surgical concepts and the quality outcome. The EUREQUO project is the international quality outcome database for cataract and refractive surgery initiated by the ESCRS and hosted by the ifa group of companies.
