ifa on the road: looking back at this year’s second half of events Print

The second half of this year’s ophthalmic events has been just as multifarious an experience to ifa systems AG as those in the first months of 2012.

At international level the ifa team participated, for example, in the SOG congress in Switzerland and received vast positive feedback from users on the smooth implementation of the ifa software and subsequent paperless documentation in their practices.

In addition two of the world’s most important ophthalmic events, the ESCRS and the AAO, were held in the second half of 2012, where ifa’s new, bilingual V2020 generation drew many delegates to the ifa booth. ifa’s new software generation was also presented to delegates of the 17th Congress of the Chinese Ophthalmological Society (CCOS) by Global Vision Corp., ifa’s exclusive cooperation partner, as part of this year’s campaign for promoting the ifa EMR in China. This type of software is absolutely new to the Chinese market. With the help of the bilingual EMR Chinese ophthalmologists may implement international standards in Chinese for the first time.

Moreover, the ESCRS saw the announcement of the international expansion of the European EUREQUO project. ifa systems AG is EUREQUO’s exclusive IT partner. At the AAO ifa systems AG presented IHE-based Health IT innovations in the area of Clinical Decision Support Systems, which are the future means of medicine to increase the efficiency and quality of patient care.

At national level, the ifa team participated in the DOG congress in Berlin, whose motto was “One Ophthalmology“. Supplying one Electronic Medical Record for all ophthalmic subspecialties ifa systems AG similarly acts as a technological link for all areas of eye care. Hence DOG delegates from ophthalmic centers of a variety of sizes and ophthalmic areas visited the ifa booth at the DOG congress.

But not only was the DOG congress held in Berlin. The German capital also hosted several ifa workshops for users on the subjects of “organizing the ophthalmic practice” and “private medical billing”. Workshops on these subjects held in the cities of Erlangen and Cologne were also very popular with German clients.

However, users and prospects seem to have grown somewhat tired of visiting events; many partners from the industry have made similar experiences. Therefore, the ifa systems AG had to cancel, for example, this year’s key user meetings. The company will thus rather maintain its concept of offering concentrated workshops at 3 attractive locations around Germany (Cologne, Erlangen and Berlin) and participating in the most important national and international congresses.

The ifa team is, thus, looking forward to meeting many users and prospects at its booth during next year’s ophthalmic events. For further information on 2013’s congresses, please click here.
