ESCRS Meeting 2015 Istanbul: Success story EUREQUO Print

The ESCRS winter meeting 2015 was dedicated to quality outcome in eye care surgery. In this context the quality registry EUREQUO (European Registry for Quality Outcome in Cataract and Refractive Surgery) was a hot topic. The EUREQUO team with ifa as the IT provider presented impressive numbers: more than 1.600.000 cataract surgeries are stored in the web based database since approx. 6,5 years.
Driven by the success of the largest IT project in ophthalmology, the users defined additional requirements for future outcome features. The ESCRS and ifa signed an upgrade contract which covers a relaunch of the follow-up data management for cataract and refractive surgery.

Peter Scherer, Vice President of ifa united i-tech: “The EUREQUO project is a true platform for all kinds of quality outcome in ophthalmology. In a addition to the original data structure EUREQUO is also hosting the FEMTO cataract study of the ESCRS. Another sub-project is PROM (Patient Reported Outcome Measures) which also will be introduced at the ESCRS Meeting 2005 in Barcelona.”

The ifa group of companies is the exclusive IT provider for the ESCRS project.
