Biometric Person Recognition

Brief Description

The requirements for data protection and data security are increasing as much as the need for transparent documentation in computer systems. With the Biometric Person Recognition system data in the computer is automatically linked to the person who entered that data. From legal and organisational aspects, especially in larger organisations, it is sensible and almost essential to always know who has entered data into the computer system. The ifa System within its documentation area allows all data in the electronic record to be linked to staff member’s personal data. The Biometric Person Recognition system interprets fingerprints of staff members and attaches the data automatically to a personal number. Additionally, the “Finger Touch” also controls access protection. So only authorised members have access to individual program areas. The Biometric Person Recognition can also be linked to work clock systems. Per fingerprint staff members can punch in and out storing their start and end time of the work day.

Requirements

Requirements for employing the Biometric Person Recognition are having the appropriate hardware with a fingerprint sensor (mouse). Prices and description can be found in the hardware catalogue. If the Biometric Person Recognition system is also to be used for time keeping than a license for the module “Time Keeping” is required.

Training / Consultation

The program can be installed with a CD. Normally, it is useful and necessary to have training on site. Staff members are given support in pre-setting the Biometric Person Recognition system.
